I haven't logged in a while... So when I do I suddenly have to have a "google account"...
Then, just like all the other big companies I go through a painful, stupid, non-deterministic process to "transfer" my account to a "new" google account. I have to bail out and re-log in after spending five minutes trying to log in during the transfer... and then "ta da" - magically my account works - after it tells me five times my password is bad...
[Sigh]
